Thursday Morning Hello from Michigan

Good Morning OFF Family,

I am up early, because I have an early appointment at the pain specialist's office with the nurse, as follow-up from my shot last week.  After I get home, I have a lot of cleaning to do this morning.  Then, I have to go back to get a hydascan done.  It's a nuclear medicine test to see if my gall bladder is defective.  The ultrasound months ago didn't show anything.  I don't have an ulcer, so this is the final test to see if the problems I'm having are my gall bladder.

Must scoot.

Hugs and prayers,

Trish

Good Morning, Trish and all to follow.  Hope your scan brings some conclusive evidence as to the cause of the pan you've been experiencing.  Is the pits to not feel good and not know why.  It's not that I'm hoping it's your gallbladder but rather I hope that something can be done to resolve your pain.

Found out hubby has kidney stones.  Of course, I Googled it and found that they can cause abdominal pain.  That could be the reason hubby has been having abdominal pain every now and again.  Anyway, he's being referred to a urologist for further evaluation and treatment.  Needless to say, he's not a happy camper at this point.

Tonight is Agility graduation which is always fun.  Today, we have some appointments.  Tomorrow is actually a "free" day which will be nice.

Hope  you all have a good day today.

Hi Cindy,

My son-in-law, Trent, has three  kidney stones that have been making him miserable for the past week.  He's on pain killers, and still has to work, because he has no sick time, due to being self-employed.  My daughter is on unpaid maternity leave from her teaching job, and only does part time babysitting.  I'm praying he passes them soon.

I'll pray for your husband along with Trent.

Hugs,

Trish

Trish, the CAT scan showed two small ones.  I have no idea what the urologist will say/do but I hope that, whatever they do, isn't too painful.  I read (when I Googled) that often procedures are done while the patient is sedated.  I'm wondering about that because his cardiologist doesn't want him sedated (found that out when we tried to schedule his colonoscopy****il after he sees him in August.

How long will the dr. let Trent suffer through this process before he does some kind of intervention?  Does he have an alternate plan?  I am sorry that Trent is suffering so much.

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Trish.....I pray they discover what is causing your pain. My gallstones didn't show up on a ultrasound but ended up being there anyway. They were tiny but a lot of them. I was so happy to get that gallbladder removed!

Cindy P.....sorry your hubby is having kidney stone issues. As Trish can testify....her SIL is going through a horribly painful process. Sometimes they can go in and blast them...depends on the size. Prayers for your hubby and Trish's SIL!

I have no plans today. I went out to get gas in my car yesterday, stopped at my sister's mail box to get my mail, picked up a couple RX's, then to the grocery store for bananas and a few things. I was so weak I came back and just rested the rest of the day.

I am sad as my SIL is taking Bella (dog) to some group and she won't be home anymore. She is such a great dog. So friendly, listens really well, and loves everyone. However, she started urinating in the house. My daughter is just sick about her leaving as am I and my grandchildren. It is his dog so we can't do anything about it. I hope she finds a happy home.

Wishing you all a beautiful day. Prayers for many OFF friends and families.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I woke up with a headache, my left knee hurts ... not seeing rain in the forecast, but my body says otherwise. We had a big storm last night ... lots of lightning, thunder and lots of rain. Juliette spent a couple hours in the closet.

Trish, I hope they find out what's wrong with your gall bladder or whatever is hurting you.

I responded to a link at the bottom of the page: Insure Nutrition. It said my insurance would pay for my protein drinks. So I thought, why not? I got a call from them this week and turns out my insurance will pay for three drinks a day (I'm using two right now trying to take off this weight regain). Hey, if I can get them for free, I'm all for it. My stuff is scheduled to ship so I will be getting it for free. Saves me some grocery money.

Well, back to work tonight. Headache is starting to go away. Maybe I won't have to stick my head under the shower.

Have a good day.

Hi my sistas!

Late to the party today.  Christie took the day off (sick day), but she really wasn't so sick, IMO.  Anyway, Butch and I jumped at the chance to get away for the day.  We left telling her we were going to the bank and the store (which we did), but we went by way of Boerne!  LOL!  Boerne is another one of these quaint little Hill Country towns that has made itself over into a tourist destination.  We went antiquing and had lunch at a little cafe.  It was great to get some couple time alone today.

I didn't buy much.  Just some pickles (I know, that sounds weird, but they were SO good!) and a chintz plate with purple pansies to hang in the purple guest room.

However I did see several things that I would like to have, so I may have to go back one day in the not too distant future.

Got a bit of a headache working right now, so I'm going to take something (oh, how I miss Advil!) and lie down for a bit before fixing supper.  We're having "cowboy quiche" (from Pioneer Woman) tonight.  Easy to fix and only a couple of things to wash up.

Love you all!
